Eliza Doolittle

I am having to adapt to this very strange culture, and sometimes being from the South has its advantages in they are totally eating up my etiquette and charm. This town might make a lady of me yet...

In other news I impressed the pants off of this manager of a trattoria/wine bar (like, triple the tips I've ever made anywhere else), unfortunately they'd hired someone else. BUT she's not very thrilled so far with the new employee, so we'll see. There's also a part-time gig making jewelry which I will have more of an idea about next Wednesday.

Last night my friend Scott and I dined under the night sky (and a heat lamp, I might add. It doesn't take much for these Southern Californians to feel cold!) at a fabulous Mexican restaurant in Santa Monica. We had the Salmon tacos (not in the least greasy!!!!), a bottle of wine and the mango chicken enchiladas for under $20 a person. God I love this town.
